What This Role Will Do 

As a Senior Manager of Valuation – Oil & Gas Specialist, you will:

  • Lead and manage complex valuation engagements focused on oil and gas assets, including reserves, production infrastructure, and energy-related projects.
  • Develop advanced financial models, including discounted cash flow (DCF) analyses and market comparables, to value oil and gas reserves, production, and infrastructure.
  • Supervise, mentor, and manage a team of valuation professionals, ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of high-quality valuation reports.
  • Oversee client relationships within the oil and gas sector, serving as the primary point of contact for key engagements.
  • Review valuation reports, financial analyses, and presentations to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Stay informed of the latest trends, regulatory updates, and emerging valuation methodologies in the energy sector.
  • Support business development by identifying opportunities to expand the firm’s presence in the oil and gas industry, preparing proposals, and attending client meetings.
  • Collaborate with finance, legal, and tax professionals to support client objectives and ensure the successful completion of valuation projects.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Manage and deliver business valuations, financial modeling, and transaction advisory services for oil and gas assets.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients in the energy sector, ensuring client satisfaction and project success.
  • Lead and develop a team of associates, providing guidance and mentorship on valuation best practices.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within the oil and gas industry.
  • Provide expert insights into oil and gas valuations, including reserve valuations and energy production analyses.

What Makes You Successful in This Role 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
  • Professional designations such as CFA, CPA, ASA, ABV, or CVA are strongly preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in valuation, financial modeling, and consulting with a focus on oil and gas assets.
  • Strong knowledge of oil and gas valuation methodologies, including reserve valuation and cost segregation.
  • Proven leadership and team management experience, with a track record of delivering successful valuation projects.
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to effectively engage with clients and stakeholders in the energy sector.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects while maintaining high quality standards.
