New York

Our New York office is home to leaders of our national Energy & Infrastructure, Financial Valuation, Real Estate, Machinery & Equipment, and Transaction Advisory practices. The New York Office is led by Patrick Craig, MAI, MRICS.

Professionals from this office have a long history of being elected to executive positions in regional chapters of the American Society of Appraisers (“ASA”).  The office has been in the Empire State Building since 2015.

Professionals in the New York office perform Fairness Opinions, Solvency Opinions and valuations of business enterprises, management services organizations and agreements, complex financial instruments, intangible assets, real estate, and machinery and equipment for transaction consulting, financing and recapitalizations, financial reporting, tax reporting, corporate planning and reporting, insurance, and litigation support.

New York Leadership

Patrick Craig, MAI, MRICS, Principal and Executive Managing Director, leads the Real Estate Valuation Practice. Mr. Craig is a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser in multiple states. He joined Marshall & Stevens in 2013, and he is a member of our Senior Management Committee.

John Geraghty, Managing Director, leads the Energy & Infrastructure Practice. He has over 40 years of experience in the structured finance industry, and he has presented at multiple renewable energy conferences. John joined Marshall & Stevens in 2018.

David Gaynor, ASA, Managing Director, leads the Financial Valuation Practice. Mr. Gaynor has more than 22 years of valuation consulting experience. Prior to joining Marshall & Stevens in 2019, he led the Healthcare Valuation Group at a public audit firm.

John Agogliati, CFA, ASA, Senior Managing Director, leads the Transaction Advisory Practice and is a litigation support expert. He has over 25 years of experience in the financial valuation industry. Mr. Agogliati joined Marshall & Stevens in 2017.

Anthony Festa, ASA, Managing Director, leads the Machinery & Equipment Valuation Practice. He has over 25 years of experience in the appraisal industry. Mr. Festa specializes in the valuation of water infrastructure. He joined Marshall & Stevens in 2022.

Scott DeMarco, Managing Director, leads Financial Valuation and Litigation Support assignments. His experience includes valuations of businesses, intangible assets, and investments, damages calculations and asset tracing. 

Jonathan Adelson, Managing Director, Business Development, provides valuation solutions to public and private companies. He was a successful tax advisor at Alvarez & Marsal and KPMG before pursuing a career in Business Development.

Ryan Lucas, Director, Business Development, works with public and private companies to provide valuation solutions. Prior to joining Marshall & Stevens in 2024, he served in various sales and marketing management positions within the finance and technology industries.

New York Team Highlights

Our Energy & Infrastructure team produces valuations for project finance, recapitalization, repowering (“80/20”), financial reporting, and litigation support.  The Financial Valuation team focuses on valuations relative to mergers, acquisitions, recapitalizations, estate and gift tax reporting, and succession planning. The Real Estate practice and Machinery & Equipment practice work in the areas of financing, insurance, financial reporting, and tax reporting. Our Litigation experts provide expert services in support of a variety of corporate disputes.
