What This Job Will Do
As a Financial Valuation Manager in our Los Angeles office, you will:
· Lead and manage valuation engagements, ensuring quality, adherence to technical standards, timely project delivery, and profitability.
· Collaborate with clients, tax, audit, and legal professionals, representing M&S professionally.
· Supervise, train, and mentor Financial Staff.
· Support the sales team as required, including the preparation of presentations .
· Engage with internal real estate and machinery & equipment appraisal practices for coordinated projects.
What You Will Need to Succeed
· Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or Economics.
· Experience: Minimum of four years of progressive experience in valuation at an independent valuation firm, investment bank, or within an accounting firm.
· Certification: CFA or ASA certification is preferred but not required.
Skill Set:
- Strong analytical, research, and financial modeling skills.
- Proficiency in Word and Excel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Commitment to quality and client service.

Job Title: Manager of Valuations – Energy & Infrastructure
Location: New York City, Hybrid (3 days a week onsite)
Salary Range: $120,000 – $155,000 + Bonus
What This Job Will Do:
As the Manager of Valuations for Energy & Infrastructure, you will be responsible for leading and executing complex valuation projects in the energy and infrastructure sectors. This includes renewable energy sources such as wind, solar, hydro, and other emerging technologies. You will be a key player in driving the delivery of valuation analyses, providing insights to developers, investors, and other stakeholders, and managing a team of analysts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead the execution of valuation services for energy and infrastructure projects, including discounted cash flow (DCF) models, transaction comparisons, and other methods.
- Collaborate with clients in due diligence processes, working directly with project developers, financial institutions, and investment partners.
- Prepare and present written valuation reports and ensure timely delivery.
- Supervise and train junior staff, overseeing their development and performance.
- Maintain strong client relationships and actively participate in business development activities.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Experience: 5-7 years of experience in business or asset valuation, with a focus on energy and infrastructure sectors.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree or relevant certification (ASA, CFA) is a plus.
- Skills: Advanced Excel modeling, strong communication skills, and an ability to manage complex projects across multidisciplinary teams.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with renewable energy market trends, energy financing structures, and project development.
