Headquartered in Los Angeles, Marshall & Stevens provides valuation advisory services to support M&A transactions, recapitalizations, corporate and personal tax reporting, compliance matters and litigation support purposes.

Our clients include multinational corporations, public equity firms, private investors and regulatory agencies. Much of our work is referred to us by trusted advisors at law firms, audit and tax firms, wealth advisors, and investment banks.

Services provided include fairness and solvency opinions, purchase price allocations, valuations of business interests and business assets such as real estate, machinery and equipment, software, contracts and intellectual property.

Marshall & Stevens is seeking to add an experienced Senior Associate to its Chicago Financial Valuation and Consulting Practice. Qualified candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, finance or mathematics in addition to a minimum of 2-5 years of financial valuation experience.

Responsibilities include:
• Financial statement analysis,
• Economic/market/industry research.
• Preparation of financial models and financial forecasting.
• Weighted Average Cost of Capital (WACC) analysis.
• Intangible asset valuations.
• Purchase price allocations.
• Experience with Black Scholes, Monte Carlo and Binomial analyses
• Manage valuation projects for financial reporting (FASB compliance) and corporate and personal tax reporting.
• Prepare transaction advisory assignments including fairness and solvency opinions.
• Valuation analysis and report preparation.
The business environment at Marshall & Stevens is entrepreneurial and client/quality focused.

The ideal candidate should possess the aforementioned requirements, along with strong written and oral communication skills, U.S. work authorization is required, a valid driver’s license and means of transportation to conduct management interviews and participate in business development meetings, a proficiency with Microsoft Office applications with advanced skills in Excel, the ability to conduct details reviews of financial models and valuations, a dedication to quality, strong leadership, recruiting, training and mentoring skills, excellent analytical, research and project management skills and high energy level. Must have detailed knowledge of valuation methodologies and fair value guidelines stipulated under GAAP. It is imperative that successful candidate have 2-5 years of financial valuation experience in a financial valuation practice or a valuation-focused role in an accounting firm, investment bank or professional services firms.
