John Geraghty is a Managing Director in the Energy & Infrastructure Practice at Marshall & Stevens Incorporated. Mr. Geraghty is responsible for the Northeast and West Region practices within E&I. He leads the solar energy project valuation efforts for E&I.
Mr. Geraghty joined Marshall & Stevens as a Director in 2018 and was promoted to Managing Director in 2020. Clients include independent project sponsors, infrastructure funds, utilities, and bulge bracket investors. Projects valued span from residential, commercial and industrial, distributed generation, community, and utility scale.
Mr. Geraghty has over 40 years of professional experience in the structured finance industry. He started his career at AT&T Finance where he executed his first solar project financing, SEGS VIII, in 1989. At the time, SEGS VIII was the largest solar electric generation system constructed to date. Other successful financings included projects in steel manufacturing, recycled pulp, automotive assembly lines, natural gas, and telecommunications terrestrial and intercontinental submarine fiber optic networks.
Prior to joining Marshall & Stevens, he led project development teams at Vanguard Energy Partners and Strata Solar. His hands on financing and project development experience are valuable resources to our clients.
Mr. Geraghty holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Northeastern University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Montclair State University in New Jersey. He has been a presenter at multiple renewable energy conferences.
