David Gaynor has recently earned the Certified in Entity and Intangible Valuations (CEIV) certification from the American Society of Appraisers (ASA).
The CEIV credential is intended for valuation professionals who perform fair value measurements for public company financial statement reporting purposes, including estimating the fair values of businesses and/or business interests for goodwill impairment testing (ASC 350) and stock compensation purposes (ASC 718), and intangible assets for purchase price allocation (ASC 805).
David is Managing Director, Healthcare and Financial Valuation & Consulting Practices for Marshall & Stevens.
He provides financial and multidisciplinary valuation assignments for publicly traded and privately held companies. David is a 23-year valuation professional with experience leading valuation practices for public accounting firms and independent valuation companies.
He is a frequent author and speaker on estate and gift tax valuations, discounts for lack of control and lack of marketability, financial reporting, and healthcare valuations. David serves on the Executive Committee of NYC Group 1 of Provisors, is a member of the
Appraisal Issues Task Force (AITF) of the Appraisal Foundation, and has served as President and Vice-President of the Kentucky and New Jersey Chapters of ASA.
