Zain Ahmed

Zain Ahmed is Managing Director for Marshall & Stevens Financial & Tax Reporting Valuations practice.

Mr. Ahmed has over 27 years of valuation experience, including the performance of fairness opinions and solvency opinions, as well as leading and managing valuations for post-transaction purchase accounting (FASB ASC 805 & IFRS 3), goodwill and long-lived asset impairment testing (FASB ASC 350/360 & IAS 36), stock compensation (FASB ASC 718 & IRC 409A), fresh start accounting, cancellation of debt and management planning purposes.

Mr. Ahmed has led valuation assignments across multiple industry sectors including industrial manufacturing, consumer goods, transportation & logistics, aerospace & defense, technology & software, retail, hospitality, healthcare and business services. He also has significant cross-border transaction experience, having performed enterprise and asset valuations in over 20 countries.
Prior to joining Marshall & Stevens, Mr. Ahmed held leadership positions in the valuation practices of several global and national accounting and financial advisory services firms. Mr. Ahmed holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from The University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill and a Master of Business Administration from The Pennsylvania State University-University Park. He is an Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) as designated by the American Society of Appraisers.
