Background
Mr. Herrscher specializes in complex assignments. These often involve legal matters that could lead to or are in litigation. Such matters include real estate damages resulting from construction defects, environmental contamination, delay, breach of contract, and negligence claims, unitary (state) and local property tax disputes, eminent domain, inverse condemnation, bankruptcy, foreclosure, trespass, and appraiser liability claims. Mr. Herrscher also provides services in closely scrutinized matters such as property right donations (e.g., conservation easements and income/inheritance tax matters), as well as services for a variety of other purposes. His experience covers all real estate markets including single-family homes, land, multifamily residential and commercial properties, large golf- and ski-oriented master planned communities and other land development projects, special-purpose and recreational properties, and a variety of other unique income producing assets.
Prior to joining Marshall & Stevens, Mr. Herrscher was a Director with BBG Real Estate Solutions (formerly J Philip Cook, LLC). Prior to that he worked as an Appraiser and Consultant of commercial real estate with Integra Realty Resources – Salt Lake City.
