Background
James Parks is the Chief Technology Officer at Marshall & Stevens, where he leads the firm’s technology strategy and innovation initiatives. With more than a decade of experience in software architecture, engineering leadership, and enterprise technology transformation, James brings a proven track record of building scalable solutions and driving digital modernization.
Before joining Marshall & Stevens in 2025, James served as Senior Engineering Manager at Bullhorn, where he led high-performing teams through complex product integrations and delivered client value by leveraging advanced AI recruitment technologies. Prior to that, he was Principal Technical Product Owner and Engineering Lead at Textkernel (by Bullhorn), where he guided engineering efforts through an acquisition, consolidating intellectual property and delivering deeper client intelligence solutions.
Earlier in his career, James spent over five years at Sovren Group, where he modernized the company’s technology stack, migrated legacy systems to cloud-native architectures, and replatformed their AI Matching solution to Elasticsearch. His leadership was instrumental in transforming Sovren’s business model into a SaaS subscription offering and positioning the company for acquisition. He began his career at Credera, rising from Consultant to Manager in the Microsoft Solutions Practice, where he specialized in custom .NET development, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, and large-scale staffing technology solutions.
At Marshall & Stevens, James is focused on modernizing the firm’s technology platforms, driving operational efficiency, and creating innovative digital solutions to support clients and enhance service delivery.
