What This Role Will Do 

As a Managing Director – Valuations, you will:

  • Build, manage, and lead a team of high-performing valuation professionals.
  • Oversee and conduct detailed valuations of businesses and assets, with a focus on the energy and infrastructure sectors.
  • Serve as the primary contact for key clients, providing strategic consulting and expert valuation services.
  • Stay updated on market trends, regulatory changes, and emerging methodologies in valuation, particularly within the energy sector.
  • Maintain existing client relationships while generating new business opportunities.
  • Lead business development efforts, including the creation of marketing materials and proposals for new clients.
  • Oversee the preparation of financial and quantitative analyses, including valuation schedules, fairness opinions, and financial modeling.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Manage and deliver complex valuations for a range of industries, with a focus on energy and infrastructure.
  • Lead a team of valuation professionals, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Actively participate in business development by identifying new clients, preparing proposals, and leading marketing efforts.
  • Engage with clients to provide expert advice on valuation matters, ensuring satisfaction and the continued growth of client relationships.
  • Stay current on valuation trends and regulatory requirements to maintain the firm’s competitive edge.

What Makes You Successful in This Role 

  • 10+ years of experience in valuation consulting, with a focus on the energy and infrastructure sectors preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Professional designations such as CFA, CPA, ASA, ABV, or CVA are required.
  • Proven leadership experience in building and managing teams of valuation professionals.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and provide strategic insights.
