What This Role Will Do 

As a Senior Manager, Valuations and Economic Damages Expert Witness, you will:

  • Develop sophisticated financial and quantitative analyses related to valuation and economic damages.
  • Estimate economic damages for various legal matters including breach of contract issues, trademark infringements, and other IP-related claims.
  • Provide forensic accounting and financial modeling expertise to identify and quantify fraud and other financial discrepancies.
  • Work with debtors and creditors in bankruptcy and financial distress situations, offering expert testimony in legal proceedings.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for legal counsel, providing expert witness testimony on valuation and economic damage issues.
  • Maintain and grow client relationships, including managing an existing book of business and identifying new opportunities for business development.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Conduct valuations for business disputes, lost profits, economic damages, and financial distress situations.
  • Analyze financial statements, industry data, and market trends to deliver precise and reliable valuation reports.
  • Collaborate with legal teams to present findings and provide expert testimony in court or arbitration.
  • Engage in business development efforts to expand the firm’s valuation services portfolio.
  • Stay current with evolving valuation standards and economic damages methodologies.

What Makes You Successful in This Role 

  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in valuation consulting, including expert witness experience.
  • Advanced degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Business (MBA, JD, or PhD preferred).
  • Relevant professional designations such as CFA, CPA (ABV or CFF), or CFE are required.
  • Proven track record of delivering expert testimony and working closely with legal teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial modeling, economic damages analysis, and valuation methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex financial matters to non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining the highest quality standards
