Salary Range:                    Dependent upon position and experience of the candidate

Bonus Opportunities:      Quarterly bonus opportunities, based upon personal and practice performance

QUALIFICATIONS:  Ideally, the candidate for this position has experience in the valuation and cost segregation of asset-intensive entities that are financed by tax equity investments, sale leasebacks, and inverted leases. Industry experience should include energy generation and distribution.  Client relationships and sales experience is a plus.

SUMMARY:  Serve in a technical role within Marshall & Stevens (“M&S”) such that a high-quality analysis and report is always being delivered to our clients. Train, manage and be a resource to fellow M&S staff. Personally represent M&S to sponsors, developers, legal and accounting professionals, and investors in such a way as to instill confidence in the analyses provided.

EDUCATION:  Bachelor’s degree is required. Master’s degree in a finance-related field (accounting, business, finance, or economics) or a professional designation or certification such as an ASA or CFA is a plus.

REQUIREMENTS:  Legal US citizen or resident; must be permitted to work and travel in the US without the need for a sponsor.  Must have excellent English verbal and written communication skills.

DUTIES:  The essential duties are to perform, provide, and support valuation and cost segregation analyses for the financing of renewable energy generation and energy storage projects.

For assignments when serving as project manager,

  1. Lead the performance of valuation services, including client interaction, valuation analyses and preparation of deliverables while meeting internal and client deadlines.
  2. Be prepared to support valuation analyses and deliverables against inquiry from developers, investors and lenders, accounting, legal and tax advisors, and others as may be required.
  3. Assist in training and monitoring of fellow staff on appropriate valuation methods, techniques, theories, and standards.
  4. Represent M&S in meetings as well as on calls and in correspondence with clients, potential clients, transactions advisors and other potential or current referral sources
  5. Participate in backlog sessions and other calls and meetings as required.
  6. Be a part of the greater M&S office to which the professional is assigned and the national M&S efforts to provide excellent valuation consulting services to our clients.
  7. Other duties as assigned by M&S management.
